Rowan & Rebecca
Rebecca’s Point of View
We knew we were meant to beWe had both been single for several years, focusing on our careers and neither of us were not really out there in the dating world. After I hit 30 I knew I needed to change some things in my life, especially on the dating front. And although I wanted to date, to go online to look for love was really not what I had in mind. Thankfully, my friends were encouraging and helped me put my profile together. It was not long until Rowan’s profile came to my attention. Something in me fluttered and the moment I saw him I knew we were meant to be together.
I’m pretty practical and grounded and so I wanted to explore and see where this would take me. Rowan made it very easy to get to know him and for me to open up to him. First we chatted online, then we talked on the phone and then we decided to meet for dinner. I was surprised that I didn’t first insist on grabbing a cup of tea. We went straight to dinner. I got confirmation the moment I saw him in person that we were meant to be together.
Rowan turned out to be a complete gentleman. I not only felt safe with him, but I felt invigorated to meet a man with so much class. He is grounded and practical, just like me. I never dreamt to find someone with whom I would share so many things together.
We’ve been together for two years now. We got married in May of 2014 and are currently looking for a house to buy so we can start a family.
Rowan’s Point of View
I knew the moment I saw her pictureAt first I was reluctant to joining any online dating service but thanks to my great buddies staying on top of me, I took the plunge. I haven’t looked back since.
Rebecca sent me a message first and I knew the moment I saw her picture that there is something special about this lady. We chatted online for several weeks, talked on the phone and then decided to meet in person. I was nervous because I didn’t know if my expectations of her were tainted by the great conversations we shared over email and phone. I was worried that either of us would be disappointed. The moment I saw her sitting there waiting for me, my fear subsided. She was as warm and spunky and as real as she had portrayed herself to be.
This was two years ago. We got married in May of 2014 and are planning to buy our first house so we can start a family. Online dating has changed my outlook on where love can be found. I definitely hit the jackpot with Rebecca and feel like the luckiest guy on the planet.
